Project themes
- Natural cleaning techniques: “cleaning wetlands” for the cleaning of light contaminated industry or household water.
- Individual Treatment of Waste Water (IBA's): combination of technical and natural cleaning of wastewater.

Riverine Environment
This theme will aim to develop and exchange knowledge on river rine improvements, focusing on natural vegetation and the decrease of nutrients In order to achieve this, the partnership will carry out two in depth studies.
Firstly, a study will be undertaken to test the efficiency of different methods and techniques used for the restoration of natural vegetation of rivers. The partnership will exchange best practice and carry out efficiency studies on measures to reduce the nutrients flow to river water.
After this research is completed, another study will look into the cleaning of water and the reduction of nutrients flowing into the rivers (water quality). This will be done on the basis of practical situations in the different partner areas in particular.
Both studies undertaken will aim to research, test and promote:The partners will share best practice for the restoration of the riverbanks and the environment around the water course. This will involve establishing habitats and also considering how to encourage public access to the environment without destroying it.
